I use colors and brushes only when a sort of "expressive urgency" makes me feel the need to "art"...
So, it’s almost as if the same colors and brushes were taking me by the hand...
At that point, I know that whatever comes out, it will surely be vehicle of an authentic and deep "feeling"... The clear deep perception of this guides me...
Clearly, the mind must do its part, making available the acquired technical knowledge, but without that expressive urgency, it'd be just an "aseptic" and meaningless exercise for me...
I prefer to accept imperfection, rather than force any artistic expression, forcing my entire being to do something that is not supported by the soul...
The real artist is for me whom who makes art - "arts" for uncontrollable expressive urgency... And a great artist is whom who, at the pace of the soul, through study and experience, acquires that technical knowledge allowing him/her to express him/herself more and more effectively...
